mother's day [+ a giveaway with 10 winners!]

It wasn't until I was older that I realized (and appreciated!) the amount of effort and sacrifice that it took my mom to raise two children on her own. We didn't have a lot of money and sometimes we barely had any, but somehow my mom managed to not let that impact us. She made sure that we had everything we could ever need. The awesome part about it is that through it all, she always taught us to give back to others. Even if we had little, someone else had less, and we could help. She is selfless. It's one of my mom's greatest features and sometimes it's even one of her faults.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOMMY! Thank you for not only teaching us, but showing us, that giving is so much more rewarding than receiving. I love you!

My mom always told me that when I'm stressed or angry to take a hot bath. It works every time and a much better way to calm down instead of losing my temper!

When I was growing up and got in trouble or if I was upset, she always sent me to my room. She always said "never talk when you're mad, you'll always say things you don't mean" so sometimes it would take days before I knew my punishment. My parents always wanted to wait until they weren't mad at me anymore before making a decision. They never wanted to punish me outf anger

My mom tells me a lot, especially when I feel stressed or overwhelmed, to just take it one day at a time. We both tend to get ahead of ourselves so it's always a good reminder to me!

my mom taught me the difference between need and want. When my mom wouldn't let me buy something i would get upset, but after a few days i would forget and realize i could live without things like a fancy bag for school

My mom always told me to tackle one thing at a time. It always helps me out when I'm feeling overwhelmed and I'm able to finish things and de-stress when I don't bombard myself with too many projects.

That is such a sweet pic of your mom! I just heart everything you said!! I applaud any mother that is a single parent and has to do it alone! My mother had to raise us 4 kids all by herself too! And I too have learned so much from her!

ps: You and your mom are so pretty!
